1. Swings:
   • One starting push on the swing; after that the swinger pumps.
   • Take turns.
   • Sit on the swing, and get off carefully without jumping.
   • No more than four students on one disc swing at a time.
2. Woods:
   • Students are not allowed in the woods during recess.
3. Structures:
   • People on structures must play without equipment.
   • Slides are for going down, ladders are for going up.
   • The spider is for climbing, not jumping.
4. Games:
   • Organized games may be played in open areas only.
5. Removal of sticks, rocks, leaves, snow, etc.:
   • Leave nature in its place.
6. Food
   • Eat at the picnic tables.
   • Clean up after yourself.
   • Move lunchboxes away from the tables after eating to make room for others.

Adults:

• Spread out, and vary your points of view so that multiple areas of the playground can be watched.
• One teacher should stay by the swings during recess.
• Every teacher who supervises recess should abide by the same rules.
